The global pandemic, Coronavirus, has neutered most of the world’s economic activity and temporarily displaced workers from the office to the home.

This type of commercial lockdown/shutdown is unprecedented in terms of both scale and size i.e. the number of countries directly affected and how long they have been forced into isolation.

We understand how difficult the current scenario has been and have written this guide to advise your wellbeing and transition to working from home as the human race unites to defeat the faceless nuisance, COVID-19.

Set up a workstation

Every CEO needs a war room and every business person needs a battlestation. The most simple setup will typically include a desktop/laptop/tablet, a smartphone, and a desk.

Maintain a Routine

It is important to be disciplined and maintain a routine even if you find your workload severely diminished. This too will pass and your actions now will determine how high you rebound when the economy eventually rebounds and booms.

Stay in Regular Touch

Stay in regular contact with your workers and peers. In this era of social distancing, it is important to continue to feel part of a society and for work to progress.

It’s OK to say “I Don’t Know”

The truth is that no one really knows what’s happening or going on. As such, it’s alright to admit as much and to take things one day at a time.

Maintain Accountability

It is important to remember that we are WORKING from home not just at home. If a task or project has been assigned and it can reasonably be completed remotely, it should be done right and on time. The current conditions do not excuse unprofessional behavior.

Plan and Strategize

Perhaps the time away from the office has given you a new perspective. Use this time to plan and strategize what and where you want your business to be when society returns to regularly scheduled programming.

Eat Healthy and Exercise

This is a general piece of advice but becomes even more important during heightened periods of inactivity. Healthy eating and exercise keeps your mind right and your grind tight.

Focus on Self-Improvement

One of the greatest favors you can to improve the person in the mirror is to invest in them. Use the downtime and better yourself. There are innumerable free tutorials and guides for anything you want to learn, it’s up to you to find the time and take advantage.

 Pursue a hobby

Keep the flame inside you alive by discovering or rekindling a hobby or passion. From stamp and coin collection to reading a new book, there’s universes for you to discover, do it!

Keep Hope, Faith, Optimism, and Positivity Alive

Times are tough and they may get tougher still, keep your head up and your loved ones close.

Recognize Others

The main thing you can do for the world right now is stay indoors and send good vibes and great energy to all those on the front lines. The doctors, nurses, staff, patients, workers, drivers are literally risking their lives for us on the daily, show them some respect and appreciation.
